Terms of Use
The short version
- DraftGem is a skill game in beta: you draft five coins, compete in tournaments, and prizes are paid by an on-chain program.
- You must be an adult, and playing must be legal where you live.
- You can lose your entry fee. Only use money you can afford to lose. Blockchain transactions cannot be undone.
- We never hold your keys. Entry fees sit in the program's vault, not in our wallet.
- Nothing here is financial or investment advice.
By connecting a wallet or using DraftGem you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. What DraftGem is
DraftGem is a game of skill built on the Solana blockchain. In each tournament you pick five coins within a budget of 4,000 Fantasy Points (FP). A coin's price in FP reflects how much it typically moves. When the round ends, each coin's score is the percentage change of its price over the round (never lower than -100% for a single coin), and your portfolio's score is the sum of its five coins. Scores follow from recorded market prices, not from any random draw.
The game is currently in beta. Features, limits, fees and availability may change.
2. Who may play
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- You are responsible for making sure that playing a game like this, and receiving prizes in crypto assets, is legal where you live and for any taxes that apply. DraftGem may not be available in places where such games are restricted, and we may limit access.
- You must use your own wallet, and you must not use DraftGem if you are subject to sanctions or if you are acting for someone who is.
3. Your wallet
You connect and sign with a Solana wallet that you control. DraftGem is non-custodial: we never have your private keys or seed phrase and cannot recover them, reverse a transaction or restore lost access. Keep your wallet secure.
4. Tournaments, entry fees and prizes
- Entering. You pay the tournament's entry fee, in SKR, SOL, ORE or USDC, in a transaction you approve in your wallet. Entries lock when the round starts and cannot be changed or withdrawn after that.
- Where the money is. Entry fees go into a vault controlled by the on-chain program, which pays prizes out and can refund entries. We do not hold the pool in a wallet of our own.
- Prizes. Depending on the tournament, prizes go to the top half of players, Top 1, Top 3, the top 30%, or the winner of a head-to-head duel. Players who tie share their combined prize. Prizes are paid to the wallet that entered.
- Fees. The platform keeps 5% of each pool. In a tournament created by a player, the creator receives a further 5%.
- Cancelled tournaments. If a tournament is cancelled, entry fees can be refunded to the players through the program.
- Held payouts. Before paying out, our system checks the numbers. If something does not add up, the payout is held until it is resolved rather than sent.
- Beta limits. While DraftGem is in beta, entry fees are capped at small amounts for each currency.
- Network fees. You pay the Solana network fees for your own transactions.
5. Prices and results
Coin prices come from public market data providers. The platform records each coin's start and end price on the blockchain, and the program computes scores from them. The platform's authority key is trusted to register prices and the prize plan, and our system checks them before paying out. Market data can be wrong, delayed or unavailable, and thinly traded coins can move sharply. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any price, score or ranking, and we may delay, hold or cancel a tournament if we find a problem.
6. Creating tournaments
You can create a tournament from the app for a small creation fee (currently 0.005 SOL), and, where the program allows it, earn a 5% creator share of its pool when it pays out. You choose its name, prize structure, currency, schedule and whether it is public or private. A "private" tournament is only unlisted: anyone with the link can find it, and its blockchain data is public.
Names and other content you submit must not be unlawful, hateful, misleading or abusive, and must not impersonate another person or project. We may hide or remove any name or tournament from the app. You cannot influence prices or results of your tournament.
7. AI portfolios
The AI feature builds a suggested portfolio. It is a convenience, not advice. It can be wrong, it does not predict prices, and it offers no advantage that is guaranteed. AI portfolios are entered, priced and scored exactly like any other portfolio. Free use is limited per wallet and per day, and may be paused when the provider's free quota is used up.
8. Risks
- You can lose your entry fee. There is no guarantee of any prize or profit.
- Crypto assets are highly volatile, and some coins can drop to zero.
- Blockchain transactions are final. A transaction sent to the wrong address or approved by mistake cannot be reversed.
- The software, including the on-chain program, is in beta, may contain bugs, and has not been independently audited. Smart contracts, wallets, networks and data providers can fail.
- Nothing in DraftGem is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
9. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service to harm it, use bots or scripts to get an unfair advantage, create multiple wallets to cheat in a tournament, exploit bugs instead of reporting them, or use DraftGem for anything unlawful. We may block a wallet or limit access if we believe these terms are broken.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, pause or stop any part of DraftGem, including creating new tournaments. We aim to make sure that money already entered in a tournament is either paid out or refunded under the program's rules. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use DraftGem after a change means you accept it.
11. No warranty, limited liability
DraftGem is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, losses from market moves, wallet or network failures, third-party services, or transactions you approve. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the entry fees you paid in the tournament concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.
